Having spent significant times in two countries, Dr. Kim has extensive experience working with bicultural individuals and families of all ages. Also having a diverse educational background, Dr. Kim is an expert in mental health issues related to career developments for students and adults alike. Dr. Kim loves children and students, and is keenly interested in shaping and restoring their lives early on based on each person’s unique strengths. He has training and experiences in counseling students, educating parents and rehabilitation of substance abuse addicts. And coming from a broken home himself, he is keenly interested in restoring broken families and regaining happiness in life.
His clinical experiences include: Counseling middle and high school students for mental health matters including depression, bipolar disorder, suicidal thought, relational issues and drug abuse; and rehabilitation of substance use addicts.
Dr. Kim is fluent in both English and Korean, and familiar with both American and Korean cultures. In addition, he is also versed in spirituality issues, as he has been serving non-profit religious organizations for the past 22 years providing pastoral counseling to youth, adults and families.
