Maxine has extensive experience working in non-profit organizations with culturally diverse populations. She works with individuals, adolescents, and young adults from a natural, strength-based, and client-centered approach. Her clinical experiences include: West Valley Counseling in Tarzana, CA practicing depth psychology, active imagination, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. She has worked at For the Future and Guiding Our Youth, short-term residential treatment programs working with at-risk adolescents ages 13-17 who have experienced loss, neglect, abuse, subsequent substance abuse, PTSD, and trauma. Before becoming a therapist, Maxine worked for over 20 years as an actor in the entertainment industry and can personally understand what contributes to depression, anxiety, and a compromised sense of self.
