Rubi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience. Rubi has extensive experiences working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health agencies located in underserved communities of the greater Los Angeles area and the San Fernando Valley. Rubi’s clinical experience includes working with Los Angeles Unified School District as a Psychiatric Social Worker; The Help Group Child & Family Center as a Therapist, Program Coordinator, and Clinical Supervisor; Gateways Hospital as an Outpatient/School-Based Therapist; and South Central Health and Rehabilitation Program (SCHARP) as a California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Program Therapist and Coordinator. These experiences have taught Rubi the importance of providing comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families to achieve their potential by meeting their social-emotional needs and the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach by interfacing with community liaisons, as needed.
