Alenika has an extensive training in working with culturally-diverse population in the nonprofit organizations and private practice settings with emphasis on trauma focused and CBT approaches, dealing with adults who had struggled with anxiety, depression, relationships issues, parenting, and family dynamics. Her clinical experience include: Counseling West in Sherman Oaks, CA practicing depth psychology, mindfulness, and self-awareness training emphasizing on working with dreams, sand therapy, active imagination, and archetypal psychology. Mental health of student services on college campus, psychiatric facilities and rehab center for addiction and dual diagnosis, in-group home facilities for teens with challenging behavior, eating disorder, personality disorders, and OCD. Developed and implemented a program that was focused on treating school-based therapy for teens ages 12-18. Utilizing Art-therapy and Expressive Arts, at Hebrew Academy in Huntington Beach in both clinical and administrative development. Provided leadership and developed curriculum for educational workshops. In Jewish Federation of Orange County specifically worked with Holocaust Survivors and their families by addressing various traumas, acculturation, immigration issues, language barrier, chronic pain, coping with a loss of functionality, grief, PTSD, end-of-life phase, and stressful life events.
