About Me

Karla has experience in working with Survivors of Trauma, Abuse, and Victims of Crimes. Karla is certified in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. As an English/Spanish bilingual therapist, Karla recognizes the importance of a strengths based and culturally sensitive approach in session. Karla believes strongly in the client/therapist relationship, aiming to create a treatment plan that can meet the client’s needs and provides the best opportunities to grow. Karla believes her role as a therapist is to be a support. Her clinical experiences include: Best Me Psychotherapy, Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center (LBTRC), and Occupation Therapy Training Program (OTTP). Karla is also fluent in Spanish and has experience providing therapy in Spanish .
