We hope you are well. We are reaching out with an important update regarding your insurance coverage for mental health services.
Magellan Behavioral Health of California has announced that it will be exiting the California market at the end of this year. As part of this transition, many Magellan members are being moved to Blue Shield of California for behavioral health coverage beginning January 1, 2026 (or on the effective date indicated by your plan).
Because of this change, your current Magellan coverage will no longer be active after the transition date, and we must update your insurance information to avoid any disruption in care.
Action Required
If you plan to continue your coverage under Blue Shield of California, please contact our front desk as soon as possible to update your insurance information.
Important:
If we do not receive your updated insurance information before your next appointment after the transition, you will receive a cash-pay invoice for services until the correct insurance details are provided and verified.
Additional Notice for ALL Patients With Recent Insurance Changes
If you have already had any insurance change this year, not just Magellan, please also contact the front desk to update your insurance details. This includes changes in insurance carriers, new ID numbers, new behavioral health administrators, or updated plan information.
Failure to update your insurance information will result in a cash-pay invoice for continued services until active insurance details are received and verified.
