Kathy Mihalic, MA, AMFT/APCC is passionate about supporting all her clients through life challenges to help them experience the healing and growth they desire. She strives to create a therapeutic space in which clients feel safe, seen, respected, and valued. Kathy considers it an honor when a client is willing to trust her with their thoughts and feelings. She works closely with each client to create/identify their own goals for therapy and collaboratively create a treatment plan unique to each client.
To achieve this, Kathy draws on the multiple therapeutic schools of thought and modalities listed below. Because of her desire to offer the best care possible, she continues to expand her repertoire of knowledge and skills. Currently she is working toward certification as an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD- CCSP). Beginning in January 2024, Kathy will study under Dr. Dan Siegel in his 6- month Comprehensive Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) Course.
Kathy has provided therapy and support to older adults and to caregivers of all ages at Family Service Agency’s Senior Services program. She has also worked with children ages 5 through 12 at Family Services Agency’s School-Based Counseling program. In addition, Kathy has worked with adults and children of all ages at a private practice.
