About Me

Mrs. Garcia is a board-certified nurse practitioner who is licensed to practice psychiatry: assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications in the state of California. She graduated at Walden University with a Master’s degree in Science in Nursing, which specializes in the mental health of children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Her background includes the treatment of, but not limited to, Addiction and Substance Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and ADHD. She has over 20 years in the mental health field and seven years since her clinical nursing profession started at Exodus Recovery, Outpatient Sobering Center and Adventist Health White Memorial at the inpatient psychiatry unit, where she had the privilege to serve and care for the vulnerable population such as elderly adults, homeless, and clients with substance abuse issues. While at White Memorial, she was part of a multidisciplinary team managing the care of clients experiencing mental crises by providing safety and compassionate milieu that focuses on the re-integration of one-self to the community. Her background equips her to address the complex interplay of medical, psychiatric, and substance use disorders, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient wellness.
